Kodak Black’s attorney says Orlando police are unfairly targeting the rapper after his recent drug‑trafficking arrest. According to early reports, officers told attorney Bradford Cohen that Kodak’s fingerprints were not found on the cough syrup bottle they tested. The bottle was discovered inside a pink bag during a vehicle search back in November 2025. Despite the lack of prints, police are still pursuing charges based on a single photo.
The arrest affidavit claims the pink Louis Vuitton bag contained MDMA, $37,000 in cash, and cough syrup. Officers also found a gun‑shaped lighter, scissors, and documents with Kodak’s legal name, Bill Kapri. Police say they have a photo of Kodak with the bag taken a week before the search. No one present during the search claimed the bag, and Kodak wasn’t even at the scene.
Authorities later confirmed the MDMA weighed 25.34 grams, crossing the threshold for trafficking charges. Cohen argues the case is weak and insists anyone could have owned the bag. He believes the evidence doesn’t justify the charges. The attorney vows to fight the case in court and challenge what he calls targeted policing.
