The perfect prototype of a go-getter, Georgia artist Yung Damon! aka Da Lil Homie is successfully emerging amongst a generation of trap rappers, blank music, and blah music with crafty lyrical talent like no other in his class. 


Radio-101: Tell us about a little about yourself?

I’m Yung Damon!, an up-and-coming independent artist from Savannah, GA. I’ve done records with Ty Dolla $ign, Rylo Rodriguez, Alley Boy, Diggy Simmons, Gucci Mane, Project Pat, interviews with DJ Smallz, Dirty Glove Bastards off the porch series, and currently have a TV commercial in my region for “Zeroes” ready to drink vodka. I’ve been featured in the Source Magazine, Yo Raps, and the Savannah Morning Newspaper to name a few. I just been working trying to build my brand and become a household name.

Radio-101: Being a musician, where do you see yourself fitting into the current music scene?

I feel like Ima stand out in the current music scene because my music is different. I don’t follow the wave and the trends. People take a liking to my voice and image

Radio-101: “Gram” is your latest record. What inspired you to write that song?

Honestly when I heard the beat, the first thing that came to mind was “I started with a gram now look where I am.” Just basically reflecting on how far I’ve come. So, it’s like a story telling record

Radio-101: What new artists have you been listening to lately?

I don’t really listen to too many other artists besides myself. The reason being, I just try to stay as original as possible. I like Bossman DLow’s music. He going hard.

Radio-101: What made you want to pursue a career in entertainment?

My passion for music is what made me want to pursue a career in entertainment. It’s just something I really love to do and have the natural ability to do.

Radio-101: Who are some of your favorite musicians?

Juvenile, T.I., Lil Wayne, Ludacris, & Jay Z, but in no particular order.

Radio-101: What are 3 of your favorite albums?

Juvenile “400 Degreez”, Lil Wayne “Tha Carter” & T.I. “I’m Serious.”
